At the very back of the Engstli Valley sits the chalet village of Adelboden, surrounded by deep gorges, magnificent waterfalls, dense forests and high mountain peaks such as Wildstrubel and Lohner. Here, distant views combine with local recreation and alpine culture with unspoilt nature - so it's worth exploring this diverse landscape in the Bernese Oberland with the Swiss-O-Finder: On a leisurely or dynamic orienteering run you will get to know Adelboden from a new perspective.

Here is your starting point
From the village church towards the end of the valley: on this short walk, the panorama of the Oberland shows itself in all its glory - including views of the Lohner and Engstligen Falls.

First chalet flair, then fir forest, flower meadow and mountain stream: the leisurely, longer circular trail above Lohnerdorf reveals the entire spectrum of the Alpine world.

Here is your starting point
The length and the 270 metres in altitude of this trail may be moderate - but the splendour and diversity of the local alpine flora along the way is anything but average.
